Veselin Iliev is Director General International Economic Relations Centre, Bulgarian Industrial Association. He has Master degree in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Automation from the Technical University – Sofia, Specialisation in Robotics, Postgraduate Specialization in International Economic Relations, Postgraduate Specialization in Marketing and Management of Financial Services, specialisations in marketing, project management, industrial development, courses in Management and Horizon 2020, licensed IMP3rove Guide, licensed Innovation Health Check Guide.
At the beginning of his carrier, Mr. Iliev has 6 years working experience in high-end technology implementation in robotics – Flexible Manufacturing Systems, and electronics – computer memory devices. He took government positions for 7 years altogether, 4 of them – diplomatic mission as Head of trade and economic section of the Bulgarian embassy in Ljubljana, engaged with company support. For 2 years he was a Member of the Board and Vice President of two big Bulgarian plants – for plastic recycling and cigarettes production. Mr Iliev run own business for 8 years – consulting companies in internationalisation, investment and financial matters. Since 2001, he is engaged with Bulgarian Industrial Association – business support organisation, where he managed several internationalisation and innovation related projects. Since 2008 he used to lead Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) team in BIA. He is a member of EEN Thematic contact point for Bulgaria in Internationalisation, EEN TCP Access to Finance, EEN TCP Scale-up companies and EEN SG Environment. Veselin is External Evaluator for Partnering Opportunity Database and for Eureka/Eurostars program. He is a National Contact Point for Horizon 2020 – Access to Risk Finance.

Veselin speaks fluent English, working knowledge in Slovenian and Russian, basic Serbian.
